I'm Jeff Applewhite. I've spent 25+ years building, running, and improving enterprise technology platforms.

My career includes senior engineering, product, and technology leadership roles at companies including Backblaze, StackPath, NetApp, and Red Hat. That background is enterprise infrastructure and cloud platforms, Kubernetes, Linux, SRE and observability, object storage, distributed systems, NVIDIA GPU infrastructure and AI infrastructure, and technical product and engineering leadership — the kind of environments where downtime and bad architecture decisions are expensive, and where I was the person accountable for both.
I don't sell a predetermined product or represent a single vendor. I'm hired to solve the problem in front of me, and I'll tell you when the right answer is smaller — or different — than what you expected to buy. That independence is the point: my job is to be right about your problem, not to move a particular product.
